La aplicación de cremas con extracto de caléndula mejora significativa los parámetros de hidratación y firmeza de la piel, 2, 255 aportando una protección eficaz contra el estrés oxidativo producido por exposición a rayos UV-B3 a la vez que aporta gran cantidad de nutrientes y compuestos protectores vasculares4
La aplicación de Aloe incrementa la hidratación y regeneración de la piel5. La aplicación tópica Aloe ha demostrado aumentar la síntesis de colágeno en un 23%, y la regeneración cutánea entre un 77% y un 101% respecto al blanco25.
El aceite de almendras disminuye las cicatrices post operatorias y mejora el tono y elasticidad de la piel267. El uso de cremas de Aloe y de germen de grano de trigo mejora los parámetros de hidratación de la piel23 y es fuente naturalde vitamina E (tocoferol) 269 . En la valoración contra la degeneración cutánea causada por la radiación UV-B tras exposición durante 12 semanas, demostró que previene el daño estructural inducido y se mostró muy útil en la desaceleración del fotoenvejecimiento 268.
